 Complains have been made several times by Corp members serving in Nsukka region of enugu state about the activities of a notorious area boy (agbero). It was gathered that the said agbero specializes in victimization of Corp members especially those who are mobile. He uses harassment and intimation to rob his victims. On 19 of November 2019 a core member was approaching a microfinance bank when the agbero came with three others, they rob and took away the motorcycle (ladies machine) from the serving core member. An eye witness at the incident manage to take pictures of the main agbero who boasted that he is "being backed by the governor" he also claims to have a valid ID card that justifies what he is doing. When asked why he targets Corp members he responded by saying that "they are even lucky sef, ask them how they treat our people over there" As people started gathering around to know what was happening, not knowing his pictures were taken already,...

Today the 29th of June 2016 at about 14:23 after coming out of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka 2nd gate on my way home riding a PRIVATELY owned and private bike I got stop by some men (in their early thirties). About four of them in number who claimed to be working for the Local Government, extorting money from motorcyclists which, given the location they were at the time are mostly students who don't earn any income and who probably don't even know what an "emblem" is all about. Anyone they caught is forced to either pay #1,700 (in this economy) or they take his/her bike to "the local government office." I don't know where it is written in any constitution, that non commercial motorcyclists are meant to pay any form of "rate" just for the simple reason that they own a bike they use in coming to receive lectures especially by touts who have no identity.
