Agbero (aka area boy) who specializes in robbery of Corp members in Nsukka claims to be backed by the governor of the state.
Complains have been made several times by Corp members serving in Nsukka region of enugu state about the activities of a notorious area boy (agbero). It was gathered that the said agbero specializes in victimization of Corp members especially those who are mobile. He uses harassment and intimation to rob his victims. On 19 of November 2019 a core member was approaching a microfinance bank when the agbero came with three others, they rob and took away the motorcycle (ladies machine) from the serving core member. An eye witness at the incident manage to take pictures of the main agbero who boasted that he is "being backed by the governor" he also claims to have a valid ID card that justifies what he is doing.
