Ar teta leaves his role as Manchester City assistant manager and replaces Freddie Ljungberg, who took over as interim head coach following Unai Emery's sacking at the end of last month. Ljungberg oversaw two draws, two defeats and one victory during his time in temporary charge, and departs his role with Arsenal 10th in the Premier League table. Arteta returns to the club where he iplayed 150 games between 2011 and 2016, winning two FA Cups and two Community Shields in the process. City and Pep Guardiola were intent on Arteta remaining at the Etihad Stadium, but the offer from the Gunners proved too enticing for their former midfielder to turn down. The domestic treble winners were angered by Arsenal's approach for the Spaniard after pictures emerged of Gunners chief executive Vinai Venkatesham and lawyer Huss Fahmy leaving his Manchester home in the early hours of Monday morning.

 Arsenal Fans are excited with the English side after reportedly agreeing to buy Lille winger Nicolas Pepe for €80 million. According to BBC Sport, the Gunners will pay in installments and an agreement over a five-year deal is expected to be reached in the next 48 hours between Arsenal and Pepe's representatives. This comes after the Ivorian winger met with Napoli during the week with the Serie A club leading the race to secure his signature amid significant interests. But their proposal has been rejected by Pepe's agent, who is pushing for a move to the Gunners. Nicolas Pepe, who signed for Lille from Angers in 2017, has scored 35 goals in 74 appearances.

Mesut Ozil and Kolasinac were in the limelight this evening. Both players were together in Ozil's car. The Arsenal FC player who recently got married to his stunning Turkish wife was driving, with his wife sitting in the front sit. Sead Kolasinac who got married few weeks after Ozil, was at the back sit. They got stopped by two men wielding knives, it was a moment of bravery, in the face of such terror. Kolasinac defended Ozil and tried fighting off the two men with his bare hands. Mesut Ozil later drove off to the nearest restaurant for safety after the men got away. Arsenal FC confirmed both players are safe and fine now. Kolasinac a.k.a The Hulk is known as one of the strongest footballers currently in terms of pure strength. On the 7th of June 2019, Arsenal star,  Mesut Ozil  married his partner  Amine Gulse  in  Istanbul  and Turkish President  Recep Tayyip Erdogan  was his best man. The Turkish leader arrived in the early evening for Friday's ceremony at a luxury hotel on the banks of the Bosphorus to witness the Arsenal midfielder marry his fiancee, former Miss Turkey, Amine Gulse. A smiling Erdogan was pictured with his wife  Emine  standing next to the latest couple as their marriage was formalised. The former  Real Madrid  midfielder, 30, who has Turkish family roots, sparked controversy last year when he was pictured with Erdogan, raising questions about the footballer's loyalty to Germany on the eve of the 2018 World Cup campaign. In the wake of the World Cup fiasco, Mr Ozil announced his resignation from the national squad, saying: "I am German when we win, an immigrant when we lose".

Alexis Sanchez shared these photos of the ankle injury he suffered during extra-time in the Copa America final win over Argentina. Alexis had to leave the game when he suffered an injury after a heavy tackle by Argentina's Gabriel Mercado. After the match on June 27, Sanchez posted photos on his Twitter account of his badly swollen left ankle. It however looks even worse in updated photos he shared yesterday, which show the heavy bruising while he recuperates on a break in New York.
