Music Superstar, Akon, with his roasted corn, recently paid a surprise visit to the streets of Idumota, in Lagos.

It doesn't look like he was expecting the sort of reaction he got from the people in the area.

Mr Hodonu Daniel, the officer in charge of the building, told the  News Agency of Nigeria  on Wednesday. Daniel said that the number of tourists that visited the 172-year-old structure was higher than the 9,009 recorded in 2017.
