Arsenal beat Chelsea 2-1 to win record 13th FA Cup

Image
Arsenal won a record 13th FA Cup with a 2-1 victory here over Premier League champion Chelsea, which missed out on the English double. Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez got the Gunners off to a strong start in this battle of London clubs at Wembley Stadium on Saturday when he opened the scoring at the four-minute mark with a right-footed shot past net minder Thibaut Courtois. That lead held up until well into the second half, and Chelsea’s situation became even more dire after Nigerian winger Victor Moses was sent off in the 68th minute for diving. Spanish striker Diego Costa, however, scored the equalizer for the Blues in the 76th minute by sending a misfit shot that bounced past Colombian goalkeeper David Ossian  and into the bottom left corner of the goal. Arsenal went back on top again though just three minutes later when Olivier Giroud, who had come on as a substitute just moments earlier, chipped a ball in front of the goal that found midfielder Aaron Ramsey for an easy score on

12 years after dropping out of Harvard University, Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg returned to pick up his degree.

Image
Zuckerberg, 33, received an honorary degree at the 366th Commencement on Thursday, May 25. "Mom, I always told you I'd come back and get my degree" he captioned a photo with his parents. The billionaire was part of Harvard's class of 2006 before he dropped out to work full-time on his social  networking site, Facebook. He founded what was then called "The Facebook" in his college dormitory in 2004. The service was at first limited only to Harvard students before expanding to other Ivy League universities. He also met his wife Priscilla while attending the school. On Wednesday, he returned to the room where he built Facebook along with his co-founders, Dustin Moskovitz, Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum and Chris Hughes. He is scheduled to deliver the commencement address shortly, following the footstep of Bill Gates, another famous Harvard dropout, who has delivered the university's commencement address. Be inspired by Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock!

The Rock shared the before & after photos above via Instagram today and wrote; "When I took this iconic absurdity of a picture in 1996 I was one year removed from sleeping on a used mattress I took from a garbage dumpster in the back of an hourly sex motel. Couldn't afford to buy a bed so we do what we gotta do to get by. You can imagine all the fun colorful bodily fluids I tried my best to clean off. "21 years later I'm taking the same photo backstage hosting #SaturdayNightLive for the fifth time. If you're going thru your own tough times "used mattress" stage, do your best to have faith things'll get better and always be willing to outwork your competition because you never know where life is gonna take you. And ALWAYS remember to place a soft tissue under your left elbow as to protect the fabric of the cheap ass swag turtleneck that had you out here looking like a bad ass buff lesbian. Oh and tuck the thumb in the fanny pack. Alwa

It is reported that hundreds of sympathizers arrived the radio station as earlier as 6am , but no one was injured in the incident. Speaking with newsmen shortly after the demolition, the Chief Executive Officer of station, Nawani Aboki, said that the reason for the demolition was political and that it was aimed at gagging the Press. "Due process was not followed. You can see that the wall is down now. It was marked yesterday and was demolished this morning. Like we said, he had a different reason for it. Whatever reason he gives officially is not the real one. This demolition was carried out because I don’t belong to the same political party as the governor. He is afraid that the station might not support his political ambition. Part of the reasons is that the station aired a report on the ongoing Labour strike in the state.” "We have th

TransferWise launches ‘Borderless’ banking account for businesses, sole traders and freelancers

Image
Having already taken a significant chunk of the international money transfer market away from the major banks, London-headquartered TransferWise has its sights set on the bank account itself. Moving beyond simply sending money from one country to another, the company is launching its “Borderless” account, a new online banking account aimed at businesses, sole traders and freelancers who need to conduct business across borders and in multiple currencies, and who want to take advantage of TransferWise’s low exchange rate when doing so. The new service is rolling out first in the U.K. and Europe, with a “global rollout” planned for later in 2017. There are also plans to launch a version for consumers later this year, and, unsurprisingly, a TransferWise debit card. The latter is a notable omission for any product that wants to provide the functionality of a business or consumer bank account, and even potentially replace it >>Read More
